Rev. Dr. Vernon Arthur hails from Signal Hill in Tobago and is a bona-fide ordained Minister of the Pentecostal Assemblies of the West Indies. He has been married to Charmain Reid-Arthur for the past twenty-eight years and they have four lovely children: Chavern, Chanon, Vernon (Jr.) and Samuel.
Rev. Dr. Arthur worked as a public servant with the Tobago Tourism Bureau prior to attending the West Indies School of Theology where he graduated with a Diploma in Bible & Theology with honours. He furthered his studies at the Jacksonville Theological Seminary where he obtained a Master’s in Theology and a Doctoral degree in Divinity.
His pastoral ministry spans the past twenty-nine years: two years as Interim Pastor of the Speyside Pentecostal Church and twenty-seven years as the Senior Pastor of the Calvary Road Deliverance Tabernacle. He also served as the Presiding Bishop of the Tobago District for seven years. He was a Lecturer and Principal of the West Indies School of Theology in Tobago.
Churches planted: Laborie Pentecostal Church in St. Lucia and the Lowlands Life Line, Holistic Transformation Ministries, El Shaddai Liberation Centre and Black Rock Pentecostal churches in Tobago.
Rev. Dr. Vernon Arthur believes that God, who has created all things, has called him into the ministry to advance His Kingdom in the earth. His commitment to the study of God’s word and consistent prayer, at times coupled with fasting, effectively empowers him to fulfill the call of God. He firmly believes that God has given us a global mission, and it is his responsibility to lead the people that he pastors to fulfill this mission.
